When you go to the link above, note the days and hours of operation; they vary from branch to branch. Some post offices close their Letters to Santa room by 2pm and offer the program only two days per week.

Most shut down the program 2 to 4 days prior to Christmas. Each branch manager decides when the Letters to Santa room will be open.
