Here’s a suggested DRAFT of a message from you
to post on Facebook, tweet or email
www.BeAnElf.org is a pretty cool Christmas site I learned about — it shows how to obtain a letter to Santa written by an underprivileged child.
At a single postal branch in many large cities, you can read real letters to Santa, take home one or more that ask Santa for “a warm coat” or “new shoes” – and then mail your gifts to the child or family.
There’s no middle man or charity — it’s micro-philanthropy, direct from you to a child.
Share the work and cost — give a Christmas party, ask each friend to bring a gift for a child or single Mom, and wrap the gifts at the party!
Find out more about the program, as well as where the participating postal branches are, at www.BeAnElf.org
You’ll catch the spirit of the holidays, and put a smile on a needy child’s face come Christmas morning.
Please pass this along!

Of course, feel free to rewrite the draft above.
If you share our vision, please make an online donation or give by check to help us build an army of elves for Santa!
You may give anonymously online. Your contribution is tax-deductible, and will help support our mission of creating public awareness and recruiting volunteers for the USPS Operation Santa program.
Thank you for telling friends about this site!
